Very well written review. I think the album came out at the perfect time. I've only listened through a few times but it's absolutely serene.

It is actually paining me to know that the Lydia album has leaked and some people are listening to it as I type this, but I REFUSE to illegally download it, even though I have preordered the album. I will anxiously await my copy in the mail, or Tuesday at midnight on iTunes when its released -- whichever comes first.

Although, after reading this amazing review I really did consider listening to it tonight!

I really liked this record. Comes nowhere close to Illuminate, but i'd be a fool to expect anything besides what I heard on the new record.

well that was fast

Been through about 5 times so far and while I like it, it just doesn't feel quite as special as their last 2 releases. Won't stop trying though.

'Dragging Your feet.." Is one of the best songs they've ever written.

The answer is NO. Absolutely not. No band should ever put out the same album twice and no fan should want them to. I'm getting so annoyed with people complaining that this album doesn't sound like Illuminate. That type of album is very rare and all Lydia fans should be thankful they were able to create something so incredible.

Back to the point... Paint It Golden is the perfect progression. With all the mentioning of closure and acceptance from past albums, I'm very excited to see where they take this band in the future.

I love this album so damn much already. Everything Leighton & Craig touch is golden. I can't wait to hear the new songs live
