I didn't watch Nip/Tuck, but from what I understand Ryan Murphy is a great Season 1 kinda guy, then he falls apart

Pretty much. I think he panders to his audience too much, at least with Glee. It seems like he does what the fans want instead of what is actually best for the show, or he gets bored with certain characters/storylines and drops them all together with little explanation. I wouldn't be surprised at all if this started out well and went downhill crazy fast.

was nip/tuck bad? why would you base your expectations for this only on glee? it's like watching only buffy and angel then ignoring firefly when you're deciding whether or not to watch dollhouse.

I liked Nip/Tuck at first, but it got a bit crazy for me. Then again, I wasn't super invested in it . The way he comes across is so unprofessional that it does put me off. I'll give his show a chance because it looks interesting, and I wouldn't ignore it just because I personally dislike the creator.

I find it so strange that they use "from a co-creator of glee" as a marketing ploy

edit: actually, no i don't, FX did a piss poor job of marketing Terriers, really wish that show was still going
