seriously disappointed with the new album. shuffle made me think it was going to be great. this song is particularly bad. ripping the fuck out of thom yorke, not something i'd recommend.

I think you mean ripping off. Unless they actually physically dismember/disembowel Thom Yorke in this song; I wouldn't know, I can't watch the video in my country.
ha. clearly wasn't concentrating whilst typing. yes ripping off. although the idea of thom yorke disembowelled does bring a smile to my face.

I didn't know Thom Yorke patented playing the piano and singing in your own natural voice...
hmm you obviously haven't heard jack steadman speak. he's used a sub-ian curtis voice whilst he's sung for a while now. it really isn't his natural voice. i'm not gonna argue with you for liking what he does as that's personal opinion. but you're plain wrong to say his singing voice is natural.

and this song just sounds like a bad thom yorke song. that's what i hear and anyone with a neutral point of view probably would too.

You clearly haven't heard enough Jack Steadman songs, including solo stuff.

Well I have. So there ends your theory.

It doesn't make sense to say it's not his "natural" singing voice is my point. It's not affected or accented, it's just a falsetto, which many singers do, including him, on various solo efforts/beats he's made before. So many singers sing in falsetto for certain songs/portions of songs in fact most of the ones that pop into my head right now do it, it's a singing technique is all, doesn't make it any less "natural". Nor does it make it copyright of Thom Yorke (who doesn't use it all the time anyways).

It's not his use of falsetto that I'm saying isn't natural. It's his accent and singing style in general.

The thing is, I quite like some Bombay stuff. But his unnatural voice irritates me. I'm bot saying he's wrong to do it. Hell when I sing I use a bit of an accent. We have the same problem of coming from the south of England and if we were to sing in our natural voices, we'd sound like posh wankers.
