i'd rather listen to the new Aaron Lewis country cd. seriously.
side note, Colin Meloy inferred my mom was a whore during "A Cautionary Tale" by stopping the song, pointing me out, and saying "you, yeah you. listen to this song."

I wouldn't say country more as Americana or folk, but tomato tamato, potato potatoe, wank me with Clorox disinfecting wipe.

sounds like a funny story to me. king is dead is a great album, in my opinion it may be their best. i dunno what to tell you. like what you want, but I really enjoy it and hope they continue in this direction. also, there's way too many genres that go into the cohesive sound of the album for you to label it country. maybe you should just move on. you don't like the band, they made fun of you, it seems like that should be the end of things.

Since you like their older stuff, I'd say at least check out the stream of "Burying Davy" (if you haven't already), it sounds like a cross between The Tain and The Island to me.
