Your pictures are already burned. Anyone who's bashing this band for "changing styles" or going radio rock, I don't understand. I really don't mind if bands change style, provided that they are equally good at writing the new style as they were at the old style. Most people on this site should probably agree with me...when Blink changed in style, people lauded their new material because it was just as good as their old stuff, but just with a slightly new flavor (TOYPAJ to S/T). Conversely, when ATL released Dirty Work, they were hated, NOT because they released a straight pop album, but because they released a BAD straight pop album. Had Dirty Work been clever and catchy and unique as a pop album, I'm willing to bet they'd still be loved, despite their shift in style.
Now, after all that, the question...will FYS prove to be as good at writing "radio rock" as they were at easycore / pop punk? | | |
