whelp I'm really looking forward to the album.... I liked Just Drive and Stuck in the Middle. not so much Falling on You

and as for the SYG album there's some really good songs

As a major FYS fan, I'm still not looking forward to this album. :/

Gotta keep an open mind though.

My computer shuffled between Go Long Dad and Just Drive and the difference was shocking but I agree with the review. If this leads to a more mainstream bleed over like Rise Against did than cool, I'd rather these guys saturate the air than some flash in the pan crap.

I'm kind of glad you put down Stuck in the Middle because thats become one of my favorite FYS songs, so now I still have hope for the album. Probably going to Pre-Order this no matter what just because its FYS. Good review though I like the comparison to Rise against I was pondering that comparison just the other day.

Anyone who's bashing this band for "changing styles" or going radio rock, I don't understand. I really don't mind if bands change style, provided that they are equally good at writing the new style as they were at the old style. Most people on this site should probably agree with me...when Blink changed in style, people lauded their new material because it was just as good as their old stuff, but just with a slightly new flavor (TOYPAJ to S/T). Conversely, when ATL released Dirty Work, they were hated, NOT because they released a straight pop album, but because they released a BAD straight pop album. Had Dirty Work been clever and catchy and unique as a pop album, I'm willing to bet they'd still be loved, despite their shift in style.

Now, after all that, the question...will FYS prove to be as good at writing "radio rock" as they were at easycore / pop punk?

I'll give it a whirl. Never been a huge fan of FYS, but I'll check it out nonetheless.

definitely agree with the overall assessment. This isn't a bad album per se, and it has a good handful of tracks that are fun and that I enjoy, but I don't find myself coming back to this album at all, very forgettable.

a 6/10 isn't a bad score at all, it's above average, which this album is.
