That's all in taste I guess. I'm one of the few ATL fans that likes Dirty Work. I think it's a solid album and I fail to understand why everyone hates it do much. Musically and lyrically I think it's on par with every other ATL album yet everyone describes it as some giant experiment gone wrong.
I agree because I think its a solid album as well. I think many people (especially on this site) decide they hate it before listening or after hearing one song. A lot of people just hate the band in general because they've gone from pop punk to pop rock. On the other hand, I don't think this album was amazing. They tried to do a lot of different, out of their element songs on Dirty Work to appeal to different groups of people. Just The Way I'm Not, Return The Favor, A Daydream Away, That Girl, I Feel Like Dancin', and Guts, in my opinion, are all radically different than their previous albums. Despite writing some of their best songs like Do You Want Me Dead?, Heroes, Guts, and Under A Paper Moon, Dirty Work just wasn't as catchy or memorable as their past three albums.
