the wave isn't too bad of a term but MDAM stick out like a sore thumb in that group. seriously don't see how they're like any other wave band. they're way more along the lines of bands like A Wilhelm Scream or No Trigger

Thank you, Sean. And not to mention, "The Wave" are full of really talented bands. Why is that such a bad thing?

Can someone explain to me why they hate the term "The Wave"? Seriously, its like when 3 friends call themselves a "tripod" or 4 of them call themselves "a wolf pack". You don't see people walking around saying shit like "WOW THEY ARE SO PRETENTIOUS".

On a side note, is there a stream for this? My internet at my hotel is deathly slow and if I can load one song at a time that'd be killer.

This wave thing is just as jarring as the whole "they're not pop punk/pop rock, they're power pop" crap for years ago.

It's not a genre, they're not supposed to sound alike. They're just friends and play shows together and share labels and stuff.

They're a punk band.

i believe make do and mend is grouped in the wave because they share a bass player with defeater.

I am a firm believer in requiring every band to do an acoustic album, be it covering their own material or creating original acoustic tracks.

God do I love this band and where they are going.
