Miss May I Recording With Machine

Posted by: Jason Tate (12/12/11)
Miss May I will enter The Machine Shop studios starting in early January to begin work on their 3rd release for Rise Records, which is tentatively scheduled to drop in spring 2012. The LP will be produced by Machine (Chiodos, Every Time I Die, Lamb Of God, Four Year Strong) and according to bassist/clean vocalist Ryan Neff, will be the band's "most metal and dynamic release thus far."

Wow, sounds like an awesome choice. I may be in the minority but I loved Apologies Are For The Weak. Monument was a disappointment in some areas but this production choice is great.

Good luck to them!

Next record for these guys should be pretty good, looking for some vocal growth. Always thought of them like a Diet AILD.

They're fairly bearable, IMO.

I would recommend Architect, Forgive and Forget, and Masses of a Dying Breed.

I think the vocals work for some songs, but the way they are produced, doesn't. I really really really dislike the way Joey produces clean vocals and it just doesn't blend for their sound. But for the most part I agree with you.

"Monument," the song, was a pretty great indication of that. Best on that album.

Read about this in Alt Press. Their last record was pretty good (for a scenecore record) so I'm pretty excited new stuff.
