Follow-Up: I Use Megaupload

Universal Music Group has released a statement saying that some of the artists featured in the I Use Megaupload video didn't consent to their image being used.

I think it's interesting that the video was taken down for "copyright infringement", but that Megaupload claims to hold the copyright for it. As I understand it, the record companies are abusing their rights with the complaints of copyright infringement.

Don't know if you're calling me dumb, but clearly it was a half-joke. If it's UMG, which owns Def Jam, then Kanye is under their umbrella. MV or whoever probably interviewed him, he raved about it and they put it on there. Then the record company probably balked at it, not Kanye, and said that whole thing. Either him or will.i.am.
