I'm not going to lie, I've started to do this on purpose lately because these replies are always so amusing.

damn, they come to houston the sunday sxsw ends.

did you find it a bit repetitive? i'm considering buying it. He gave out three of the better known songs, and i love them. but when i think about buying the full length i just fear it will get repetitive.

A lot of albums seem to be appealing but they just don't stick. Some pleasant surprises this year: kye kye's young love.
Also, washed out's full length i thought for sure wouldn't catch, but a friend recommended it, so i hopped in: love it, doesn't get old.
Finally, Tron: Legacy soundtrack. Who knew the score would be so addictive?

so yah, sell me on it kyle. seems like a lot of the same chord progressions. This is said out of love and respect ;) i do love the guy's voice.

i just dug alot of the catchy rhodes piano licks. i thought the atmosphere and mood of the album was great, that's what drew me in. i listened to it primarily on headphones; that might've had something to do with it.

I was in my top ten too and I think it's an excellent record. He's great live as well.

A lot of other good electronic stuff came out this year. Two other albums I really dug were Tycho's Dive and Balam Acab's Wonder/Wander. Should check em out.
