I think it's weird they don't really play stuff off of this anymore. I get why they ignore The Changing of Times, Act of Depression and Cries of the Past since it was such a distinct change in sound, featured an entirely different lineup, and let's face it, those weren't even all that great. But this record fits in pretty well with the rest of their catalog and features a good portion of the current lineup.
thats pretty epic! long time overdue. if you think about, between the original release of the album and and the specaal edition it already had over 500k copies sold. now its even more!
edit: "As of 2005, They're Only Chasing Safety sold more than 218,000 copies, with the re-release selling an additional 279,000 copies, making a combined sales of more than 500,000 copies in the US alone" --wiki
back then I remember they sold 80k + in first week sales of DTGL fast forward to 2008 I saw them play in a 1,000+ cap venue in rochester SOLD OUT then fast forward to last year and they played Rochester again in a venue that held about 250 kids not sold out. its weird how bands get really huge and then things change industry and trend wise and its different. Also bands that should sell 80k a week only sell like 30k at best now with the digital age.
Same goes for bands like NFG They used to be all over MTV and all that shit and I saw them play in a dinky 500 cap club in the pop punks not dead tour. this shit blows my mind how crazy things change.
