One of my favorite albums to come out last year. Now I can get it without paying too much.

How big are these guys already in Japan? They're differently growing fast here in the states.

If they sold over 800k albums in japan, which means there 8x platinum. Why haven't I ever heard of them ever.

actually they're not even platinum yet

500,000 = gold
1,000,000 = platinum

but regardless, nowadays 800,000 sold is amazing

No the japanese sales charts are different,
50k = gold
100k = platinum

Everyone uses that chart except the us charts.

That's why a lot of bands do so well there

Their position in Japanese music scene is like Good Charlotte's in America.
The majority of their fans are teenage girls who doesn't know music much...
When I saw them live before, many fangirls were sobbing to their vocalist's preaching-like emcee. It was really pathetic.

Avove all, I can't see what's good in their music... it sounds just another catchy punk rock to me.
There are so many great and original bands in the states and they are far more better than Ellegarden...
I want more Japanese people to notice that our attention should not be paid only to Japanese bands who want to be like American, or American bands that Japanese record labels hype. (that's why Good Charlotte's latest album was no.1 in Japan and The Higher is becoming big in Japan)

sorry for my terrible english but I want to say my opinion as one of Japanese.
