One of them would be Gatsbys American Dream's first show back. Awe inspiring.

And honestly, whether anyone likes to admit it or not, the day "Yonkers" came out felt huge. I had watched "Earl" before and just thought it was some insane locally underground rapper that had no hype whatsoever (I didn't read Pitchfork then ) and once "Yonkers" came out, it felt surreal but like it wouldn't reach the status it ended up becoming. It was insane, and it made way too many of my friends attempt to become rappers on the spot.

Brand New were scheduled to play Towson University over here in Maryland last April. By the time they were set to play, the show was cancelled due to inclement weather; Jesse Lacey came into the gym, hooked his shit up, and played a solo show for everybody that stayed and waited it out. I normally never catch cool moments like that but it was really brilliant to be a part of.

RX Bandits hiatus and driving up to DC to catch their final tour with the same friends I've seen RXB with for the last 10 years.

On a more personal note, opening for The Slackers (twice), The Toasters, The Pietasters and some other great bands this year.
