I wouldn't put cloudkicker in the same vein as this sort of thing. These are more post-rock/metalcore, whereas cloudkicker is post-rock/progressive metal.

I don't know how people take this band seriously. First they sucked, then they ripped off Mahumodo and Isis, and now they're doubling down on it. Nothing to write home about.

Hopesfall's last 2 albums might be worse than blessthefall (I don't really know what blessthefall sounds like but those hopesfall albums were awful). Check out Satellite Years if you haven't. It isn't necessarily in the same vein as the bands you posted since they are an older band (album came out in 2002) but it still has a spacey, post-rock element to it IMO.

And I was just busting your balls. I feel like 5 year age gap in music tastes is more noticeable in this era of music we're in and this is one of those cases where I just can't get behind those band's sound.

I don't follow this, and I'm immediately skeptical of it to boot. Hopesfall is actually really good.
