Or the band has been doing news worthy things....like releasing an EP tuesday(newsworthy), which has to reach #1 on itunes or the bassist says he'll quit (newsworthy), and he then did an interview in which he talked about that and the response he got from it (newsworthy), and now they are releasing a free remix (newsworthy). Holy shit man that's for, you had it all wrong, this site isn't favoring Punchline it's denying them the coverage they deserve!

Good points. However the threat to quit is a thinly veiled plea for attention.

I have never heard of Punchline before, but after seeing all these posts I decided to check them out. Honestly, I guess their "cry for attention" and "blackmailing fans" worked, because I'll probably buy their EP now. If it takes something a little different to gain new fans or get people interested again, I say go for it. And thanks, AbsolutePunk, for making Punchline hard to ignore.

in all honesty, Punchline has to be the most underrated band covered on this site. They just haven't released bad music. CHECK THEM OUT!
