Also, I just got A Weekend in the City on vinyl for Christmas and it makes me happy.

Intimacy, hands down. "Signs" still gives me chills and, dare I say it, had great placement in a Gossip Girl episode.

AWITC > SA > little thoughts, hated intimacy outside of 3 songs.

first two albums/EP and pretty much any other b-side are some of my favorite jams ever.

The B-side album Another Weekend in the City is def my fave. It has a good mix of the urgency from Silent Alarm and some great moments from A Weekend in the City.

My favorite BP song.

Silent Alarm is still their best, absolutely no doubt about it. The rawness, instant accessibility, and catchiness of that album still stands up fantastically today. AWitC and Intimacy, not so much. A Weekend in the City had some solid tracks, but tried WAY too hard to be deep and epic. Intimacy strikes me as half-assed, and already sounds dated as hell. I hope Kele shook his electronica urges out of him and they can get back to the rawness of Silent Alarm.
