That really irks me. I never imagined a member of a band like Thursday comprising integrity in exchange for a paycheck. I understand that playing music professionally is a job, but really? The song is catchy, but I don't honestly believe that this is what they want to be doing. The fact that they're doing it solely based on money really makes me uncomfortable
You've never worked a less than ideal job because you needed the paycheck? I never knew it was a sign of lack of integrity to want to continue eating. I worked a night job at 7-11 for a whole year because it was the only way I could pay the bills. My integrity should not be questioned for that, neither should theirs.
Your view on this irks me. In a perfect world, artists could create their art, feed their families, and live a comfortable life simply off their music. That is NOT the world we live in for most artists. I'm happy they found a temporary job where they at least get to play their instruments!
It's an extremely tough world out there pursuing music, so you might want to consider what these artists actually live like before you question their integrity.
Btw -- don't want to come off as angry. It's just something I'm feeling passionate about
