Dude, you do what you have to do. This is the opinion of someone who doesn't work to support themselves. Maybe these guys aren't qualified to do anything but play music. Therefore, if Ellen calls and says you can make a quick buck, your integrity goes out the window.

It's just like how dudes who want to make a buck go into gay porn regardless of their orientation. Yeah, it sucks, and it's a pain in the ass, but if you need money, and you only have a limited set of skills, your hands are tied (in the scenario of gay porn, your hands may be literally tied).

who's even to say that they compromised their integrity in play for this boy band? do all of you know Tucker and Brian? was this decision something they struggled with? did they worry what people on the internet that don't know them or their intentions would think?

they are just playing in a backing band, it's a job, it's good for them.

But really, people who find this at all compromising or "stupid" for them to do this obviously are not pursuing a career in the arts. Sometimes you have to do shit like this. Plus, I'm just glad they are playing the instruments they love, still. At the heart of it, if it was a post about Tucker being a backup dancer or caught delivering pizzas, THEN i'd be sad. Dude is too good.

I don't know, playing music you don't like for money is just weird to me. Especially when you're a musician that is going from the amazing tracks on no devolucion to supporting an english boy band instrumentally.
