Don't the Patriots always end up with multiple 2nd, 3rd, and 4th round picks? So, shouldn't it be kind of embarrassing that they have to play so many guys drafted later (or undrafted or completely out of position) since they missed on so many of those picks? That's one of the story lines I hate when writers don't flesh out the reality.

Those picks take up the other 35 people on the roster.

I will never understand how someone could hate Brady. Belichick? I understand that hate. But Brady? Don't get it.

Three thoughts:

Inactivating Kevin Faulk is much more cold than cutting Underwood. Faulk's been here since 1999, and this is just sad. If Ridley fumbles, it will be awful.

Was painful seeing Tyree sitting next to Harrison...and you could see the hurt on Harrison's face.

After all week of hearing about the cancer survivor on the Giants while nothing about the cancer survivor on the Patriots, Herzlich is inactive while Marcus Cannon is playing.

Just disappointing. I was so angry at first, then had to drive back to school from my Parents house, and now...just disappointed. Anyone blaming Brady is insane. The safety was bad (really bad), but he put on a clinic a the end of the 2nd/start of the third. Even the interception wasn't too awful, as it was essentially a punt (although he should have just ran forward). Brady played mostly great.

But that loss is on our offense. Brady takes some fault. Welker takes some fault for the non-catch that would have put away the game. Branch and Hernandez take some fault for dropping catchable balls with the game on the line. The OL takes some fault for giving up the sack and forcing the last timeout. But the defense doesn't deserve much fault at all. Held the Giants to so few points for so long, all the Pats had to do was get one more TD, which was very possible.

It's a young team, and this doesn't hurt as much as 42 (even if it was painful to see us lose in the final minute yet again after a miracle Eli pass yet again and a dropped ball by a Patriot that would have put away the game yet again). I'm proud of the Patriots, and I'm proud of how far they made it with this team. I hope Brady gets another chance at ring number four sooner rather than later.

Congrats to the Giants and their fans, especially those on this site. Giants played a great game.
