It's OK. Like much of his work after I Get Wet, the ambition and drive is clearly there. The production/execution is a bit lacking particularly on his vocals. Close Calls With Brick Walls was a mess, in my opinion. I hope he can pull out a solid album once again.
yep, I wish it could go back to the wall of sound and voices of I Get Wet and The Wolf, but the track is not completely bad. Oh, and "Meat Loaf shot through with the urgency of modern punk rock" is the best definition for his music.
