Sorry if there was already a thread like this that I didn't see. I feel like this is a pretty relevant post for a music based website. Please play nice. It's a pretty sensitive issue. I'm in need of some advice... I've got a boyfriend, who is in a band, and he's gone A LOT. He's a great person and totally loyal, we've been together since wayy before the band-- but, he keeps getting hit on by girls on all his social networks because he lists himself as single even though we've been together for years. It happens TONS, and I can only see part of it. He doesn't exactly flirt back (anywhere I can see) but he's pretty damn friendly and I'm never mentioned. I get that he has to be nice to girls to promote his band, but is this a little too friendly? So every once in awhile I get pissed off at these girls who are all over him, but I kind of take it out on him. I think he should let people know he's had a girlfriend for years. It might not change how the slutty girls act, but at least it would show he was trying. How does one deal with all this knowing that if the tables were turned, he'd lose his mind about it?

Point taken. I don't want him to delete them, but I don't think wanting him to say he's in a relationship on them is asking too much. Especially since before the band he did just that.

No, it says single on his Facebook. I don't expect him to say "i love my girlfriend" on every post on his Twitter, but if a girl asks him, I would expect him to answer yes and not just change the subject.

Thank god its not just me being crazy. I just dunno how to go about bringing the subject up. Every time I try, he says that his band life and personal life are separate and he doesn't want to bring me into a line of fire from slutty girls.

Eep I feel like I've gotten advice on each end of the spectrum. He is really cool though. And I love the shit out of him. I wrote that stuff in there because its true, and because I don't want anyone to personally attack him. I wanted advice directed to me, not bashing directed at him, so thank you.
