A few things:

Whats the general consensus of Thursdays A City By the Light Divided nowadays? If im not mistaken isnt that their major label debut? If not, pardon my ignorance.

Daisy is Brand New at their most creative and interesting by far.

Define the Great Line was pretty genious at times.(not the biggest UO fan)

Circa's BSN was really a letdown after their previously flawless discography.

I loved Blue Sky Noise, I actually think Juturna is their weakest album, not a bad album at all, just my least favorite, but I guess I'm in the minority there

Juturna is def them at their most proggy. I understand why people like BSN so much, (its really good for what it is) I just found it to be a little of a step backward and less representative of what made them a characteristically unique band. The band is still pretty much uncapable of producing anything bad no matter what they try.

Can you tell theyre my fave band?

I feel that even though BSN isnt quite my cup of tea, that it is still a pretty good album. But it has its cheesy/bad moments imo. I just feel olg and juturna were SO solid and had such a more unique vibe and composition in comparison. When i said BSN was disapointing it was because prior to its release i had heard demos and prepros of awesome melodic, jazzy, really experimental material they were supposed to release. But then we the album came out they threw all of that material away for some reason and replaced it with more generic material.

However i have heard several new songs of theirs live, and they sound alot cooler imo than their BSN material so im still happy woth them.

This is the dumbest article I've ever read.

First, Is A Real Boy is their second album, From Under the Cork Tree their third, and They're Only Chasing Safety their third, too. Full Collapse is sophomore. So half the list doesn't count right off the bat! (I'm too lazy to Wikipedia it... is Ocean Avenue a debut? I feel like "No.")

Second, either your album is good or not. Only simpletons decide a record is bad merely in comparison to another record. The Green album would've sucked had it come out before Pinkerton. Same with Louder Now...

As regards Underoath, specifically, all three post-TOCS albums are better than TOCS. Disambiguation was met with praise by critics across the board.
The articles title shouldve been more clear, but then again you should have read the actual article more thoroughly.

What he means by "debut" is an album that put said bands on the map so to speak or albums released at the peak of a bands popularity, more commonly their major label debuts. You should have been able to deduce this.
