Didn't they already remaster/re-release this 5-10 years ago? I wonder what they have planned for this one...

I think it's a cassette reissue. It's announced on their website.

Cassettes are cool novelty items I guess, but as a completist with OC tendencies, I would only buy them and use them if I could get literally any album I wanted. I don't really like the idea of different formats for different records.

Yeah, I'm perplexed. Who the hell wants a cassette? No, seriously, who? Why?

Why would that even be a good business decision in 2012?

I always think that when I hear these things. There's just no benefit to it, it's silly. JusT rerelease it on vinyl...

Do you have any idea how much more it costs to release a record on vinyl rather than tape? Tape is the cheapest way to release any record, hands down, it's a cool item to have if you enjoy the band seeing as how they're extremely cheap, they come with digital download cards that usually cost about 1 dollar less than actually receiving the tape, and a lot of people still have cassette players in their cars.

And most people have a CD player in the car too! So, if you're going to listen to it in your car, wouldn't you want a much better quality recording? Most new cars have MP3 hook ups, that would sound even better. Just seems like a weird investment, and a weird think to try and promote.

People pay the extra for the vinyl!

Kinda cool since the first time I heard this album was on a cassette my bro recorded the CD to for use in his 1995 Pontiac Sunfire. Ah, nostalgia.
