Ehhh this irks me... It's not a choice. And I know you disagree, but because it's not a choice, calling a legal union of a same-sex couple anything but marriage results in a separate-but-equal institution, which we've already decided isn't okay.
I think the choice is more what an individual sees as moral. People have a right to decide what they think is moral. People can believe that homosexuality is immoral but in no way should they be able to oppress anyone who has an opposing view. People are going to have different morals but should all be able to live peacefully among each other and respect each other. I fully support gay rights and think that they should be able to live without oppression but I also believe that people should be entitled to their own set of morals, they should not be able to force them on anyone else.
Great article by Jack. I think the most important part of it is standing up to people who pass judgement on others based on lifestyle choice. The best way to fight ignorance is with information not hate.
