Featured Stream: We Are The Ocean

Posted by - 10:15 AM on 02/20/12
We Are The Ocean's latest album, Go Now and Live, has been out since last year in Europe, but physical copies will finally be available in the United States on February 28 via Side One Dummy. If you can't wait any longer, you can stream the album now on the band's AP.net profile. The British rockers just wrapped up a U.S. tour with The Swellers and You Me at Six, and they'll be touring in Europe with Silverstein in a few weeks.

Such a good band. And don't be put off by the Alexis comparisons, they've travelled far away from that sound with this album IMO.

Yeah, they've come a long way from a post-hardcore band to more of an alternative rock sound.

I remember checking these guys out when I heard they were supporting Thrice in the UK. This sounds nothing like what they were going for at the time. Whatever makes them happy I guess.

I'm still undivided on the 'screamers' voice, but overall this is a pretty good album.

It kinda seems like they are forcing bits for him into songs. He's either got to learn an instrument or learn how to sing.

And they do it well to boot.

With this album, I think they formed their own identitiy and shakes off the stupid AOF comparison. Liam's vocals are especially brilliant.

Guys put on quite a good show opening up for the Swellers. Liam's voice holds up really well live too.

Can't stand the "screamer"s clean vocals, which remind me of... Creed

Love the guitarwork in this band. Was really disappointed I missed their Cali dates.
