This is awesome.

Does this venue often stream? People should be ripping these.

Well there's 6 videos on the home page from Chain Reaction so I'm assuming it does. Btw, Silverstein show in Brooklyn? If so, I'll see you there. I got my confirmation email yesterday.

This is corny as hell. I wouldn't pay 2.99 to see this band in person, let alone on the internet.

Pretty smart business move. Considering the music industry is on the fritz.

Imagine a world where we stream concerts versus going to see them live, ahh technology.
I second this. Not sure where all the hate is coming from... it's an option you wouldn't have had otherwise, so why bitch about it? If you're not cool with paying, then don't... no one's making you. But for the people who really wanted to be at this show but couldn't make the drive or didn't have the cash, etc. I'm sure they'd gladly throw down 3 measly bucks for the next best thing.

I would pay for a video stream of shows, especially at this price point, honestly I'm kinda surprised at how many people are saying they wouldn't even consider it.

I won't pay 2.99 to watch a 3+ hour concert on the computer, but I'll pay $10 to see a movie or 4.99 for that 14oz coffee at starbucks Get over yourselves people. If I have time I will gladly sit down and watch this. good idea. 3 bucks is not that much.

I wouldn't ever do it, but more bands should probably be doing this. Allows you to capitalize even more on concerts.

lol fuck them. I don't listen to this band but if I did I'd be pretty upset that I had to pay 3 dollars for an internet stream of their show. When TWY had their album release show it was streamed free, right?

It's a shitty idea. Whoever came up with it needs to be told that.

They're seriously charging people to stream their show? Really?

Let me get this straight.. You're whining because 1) the band sold out a show (oh no!) and 2) they're offering a live stream to the entire internet for $2.99? Let's crunch some numbers. $20 ticket (not including service charges) or paying $2.99 for a cool live show? Hmm.. I'm more inclined to shell out 3 bucks to support MO and catch a glimpse of Chain Reaction, a place I've never been. If you ask me, this is the business model of the future for live events, especially sellouts, and it'll slowly move into more quality produced (both audio and video) livestreams. Imagine seeing a Springsteen (or some other huge name) concert with production value like the Amex sponsored gigs on YouTube for a whopping $10 and shortly after get a DL link of the stream (possibly).. can't beat it IMO.
