As far as the Panthers, there are no concerns on offense at all. The team actually improved on that side of the ball. |
Amini Silatolu is far from a sure thing. He'll have to make a huge transition from Division II football to the NFL. That's a GIANT leap.
I like Brandon LaFell, but he has a lot to prove. There's no way you can say there's no concerns on offense when he's their #2 receiver.

| It's no secret defense is the weak spot...and it's a big weak spot. However, I think people underestimate how important Beason is to the defense. Having him back and adding Luke will be huge. Also, we started two 3rd round picks last year at DT but later on in the season we found some better players who I had never heard of. We started winning games when those guys came in. The DT position will still be weak but it will be improved. If the defense can just finish 15-20 overall, the wins will go up when you consider how strong the offense is. |
Luke Kuechly is a beast, and he'll improve their front seven big time. The secondary is the bigger problem in Carolina though.
Carolina won four of the last six because they played against garbage, not because Sione Fua and Terrell McClain were replaced by street free agents:
Indianapolis
Houston with TJ Yates starting at QB and no Andre Johnson
Tampa Bay twice
And they lost to Atlanta and New Orleans.
