Thanks for the heads up, never buy games at BB since amazon has no tax and usually some cash incentive pre-order deal that was better, but not this year I guess.

Finally beat ME3 with the extended cut. I chose destroy, then watched the other endings on YouTube. In terms of the greater good, synthesis and control (assuming Shepard is truly incorruptible) are more ideal. But I want Shep to live, god damnit.

I feel that the Extended Cut helped color the Synthesis and Control as being good, positive things. In the original, they just felt so negative and hopeless.

But my Renegade Female Shepard went Destroy regardless. You can't fucking kill that woman.

Yeah, extended cut definitely left me thinking the green ending was preferable. EDI's feelings of actually being alive and the Reapers sharing their knowledge were great additions.

I spend two games trying to kill the reapers no way I wasn't doing it. Obviously it doesn't make a fucking difference but still.

Yes, exactly. With my first Shepard, I went Synthesis because it seemed the best option (as presented by the Catalyst) , but when it played out, it left a very poor taste in my mouth. The uplifting positivity that the Extended Cut added totally improved that. And with Control, it just seemed like a REALLY bad idea. But then I tried it, and the monologue given in that particular ending made it seem like a really noble, positive outcome.

I definitely think the EC improves the endings, overall.

That's the attitude my female renegade Shepard had, for sure. I mean, honestly, she probably would have chosen the Refusal ending, but that is such a shitty cop-out ending, I could not reconcile it.
