album is quite good when they don't abuse screaming and gang vocals. unfortunately, they do that way too often, and i probably won't listen to this again because of it... it really turns me off for some reason. screaming doesn't fit in, and gang vocals are just too prominent.
if i want this sound i'll stick to Daggermouth, Set Your Goals, and Living With Lions (who I only recently discovered, and we'll see how long that lasts).
also, blake, the image you hotlinked is missing the 'g' in 'jpg.' great review, though.
thanks for the heads-up! Appreciate the kind words, and while I love the gang vocals (obv.), I see your points. This one is probably going to be (much like FYS) a love it or hate it type of thing. I enjoy the sound for what it is, but even more, i enjoy the aura that surrounds this release with its jokes and playful feel (or whatever, themes, if you will). It took me a bit to catch on, but once it clicked, i couldn't stop listening. And I haven't stopped for nearly a month now.
