Excellent as expected.. can't wait for the entire album!

Nothing special, but not too bad.

i have a feeling i'll like all the new songs more when they're in context with the whole album. all 3 songs i've heard so far have been ok. but i think in the end when i have the whole thing, i'll enjoy them more. especially this summer when i'm driving around with the windows down.

Anyone else catch the Smashing Pumpkins reference?

I really, really love this one. As simple as the lyrics are, they're really emotional and earnest and hit their target. It's a spin on the subject of losing someone(presumably suicide) that you don't see alot I guess.

This remains my most anticipated. So excited.

I actually think I prefer the acoustic version. I mean, I do like this - but the guitar riff in the verse/buildup is different. The acoustic version Max went from major E to B and the chords moved together so well (albeit predictable). In this song, they throw in a C note into the riff and just kind of throws you off.

I just need to get used to it.

It's actually a song about bandmates. It was inspired by Liam and Noel Gallagher from Oasis but adapted to not be so specific. The curtain reference is presumably about having to be business partners even when personal relationships have broken down. Like, I hate you, but I'll see you once we hit the stage.
