Here is an article from rolling stone: http://www.rollingstone.com/music/ne...-roar-20120322. ""With this album, we've incorporated a lot of guitar work with big choruses and the heavier electronic stuff to give it that really big wall of sound feeling without getting too metal,"

Also, there is a rumored single coming out April 16th called "Burn It Down."

LP hasn't made a decent record since hybrid theory and meteora.

I'm pumped for this record! ATS really had to grow on me. I'm still excited for their tour with Incubus!

Linkin Park is the Michael Bay of music.

LP doesn't take one idea and beat it to death with sequels and prequels.

While they do some stuff I really can't stand (a couple of songs off MTM, "New Divide" and the last Transformers song are the best examples), they make some great music.

I think that even if you don't like ATS you have to respect the balls they had to make it, which alone is enough to counter that Michael Bay analogy. I personally think the record was far from perfect but great.

Linkin Park were a huge deal to me when I was younger, and I still have a good reason to listen carefully to everything they make.

I used to think that Hybrid Theory and Meteora were the shit, then I turned 15.

A Thousand Suns was a great record, they just have too many fans that do not accept the fact that bands grow up and change styles. I didn't like a some of the songs on A Thousand Suns but overall I can still respect the album both in terms of quality and the amount of balls it took for them to do that. Plus I gained a lot of respect for them for changing up their style completely over the course of their last four albums. Like them or not, as a musician I respect the hell out of that. I'm looking forward to see what they do next.

Reanimation > Hybrid Theory > Collision Course > Minutes to Midnight > A Thousand Suns > Meteora

If ATS had been an EP, though, it'd be at least a spot higher for me.

I'm pumped for a new album potentially by the two-year mark since their last (dang their unnecessarily long gaps), and also pumped for some big choruses and more of an edge, but I really hope they don't lose the progress they've made with their sound and toss together a rehashing of Meteora. "Wall of sound" is encouraging, as is "without getting too metal." Maybe a mix of HT and ATS with a touch of Sleigh Bells influence? That'd be dope.
