This thread, like many Nirvana threads on this site—is full of idiots who have no idea what the band meant and still means to music and damn near every musician they now listen to. Their influence is and always will be a pervasive one. I honestly can't take one more idiot saying how much better the Foo Fighters are than Nirvana. It's like saying The Beatles sucked because of Lennon, but thanks for giving us Wings.

I honestly do think he was influential to music and got nothing against Nirvana. I don't think they were overrated for how they shaped music but I do personally like Foo Fighters better. I think that is just a generational thing though cause I did not grow up with Nirvana.

This, a well FF have had a great career of making quality modern rock-esque music. Nirvana has always been that "grungy rock band with the pessimistic, whiny singer" for me.

I respect Nirvana I just don't listen to them much expect for a few songs. I am sure if I grew up with the band that statement might be different. Foo Fighters are one of the last beacons of modern rock n' roll in age on generic pop music and party anthems. Both bands deserve credit for there art but yea I find FF a bit more engaging to listen to.

That being said it does suck Kurt Died regardless of what happened anyways. He may of been a famous singer and lived the rock lifestyle but he was only human.
