Ok, fair enough. I guess I just love the first two discs so much that I choose to ignore how bizarre and possibly not great the third disc is. But yeah, no way a Green Day album is going to come close to anything on All Things Must Pass.

Meh. Here I was hoping their next album would be a little more stripped down and not big on the rock opera thing. They did it well on American Idiot but 21st Century Breakdown not so much. I'm sure I'll still be into songs from each disc but there' going to be so much filler on these albums.

I didn't understand all of the hatred from the Green Day fans when American Idiot came out. The only song on that album I didn't like was "American Idiot" actually. So what if the album brought in a new audience. Didn't bother me any. I've been jamming out to them ever since I can remember. 21CB was actually the first album of theirs I didn't care for. I'm looking forward to this. I think they can do it.

21CB was by no means bad, it just didn't have the replay value of their best work (and yes, their best work does include American Idiot, no matter how much backlash it received).
