pretty awesome. its sad to see Omar kind of out of it due to the loss of his mother, but a solid performance nonetheless. Cedric acting out of his mind is always an amazing spectacle.
Such terrible timing for his mother to pass - TMV releasing a new album and ATDI playing shows for the first time in over a decade all within the same week of her dying. I'm sure they're all aware that her death affected him profoundly but I applaud the man (and the band entirely since they could have understandably opted out) for going through with the shows anyway. The performance is a bit unremarkable but they sound tight, and it's fucking At The Drive-In.
Same. I think I over hyped this in my head. Felt somewhat let down when it was all over. Refused on the other hand...their set was phenomenal.
There's no way I couldn't enjoy this set, but yeah I overhyped it in my head. And Refused was fucking phenomenal. Damn. One of the greatest hardcore bands for sure.
Cedric mixed in The Mars Volta vocal style in with songs that couldn't be done like that, but he proceeded anyway...it was hard to really get into the set, but I guess once you get older a part of you dies.
