He did a follow up video where he released the one teacher's full name. The school district released a statement saying everyone involved was fired. That was a lie, so to prove it was a lie, he called the teacher's phone at the high school where she was assigned and the answering machine gave her full name. This video was done yesterday:

I grew up in Cherry Hill, still live there and have an autistic family member who goes to this elementary school. He wasn't in this teacher's class, but if she wasn't caught this year, he may have had her next year. It is appalling that she was simply moved to another school in the district, when she should be stripped of her teaching license and have criminal charges brought up against her. Here is a link to the petition that the dad created to bring the teacher to justice. Maybe it will help; maybe it won't, but it only takes a minute to fill out.

Also, The more PC way to say it is "10 year old child with autism." If the kid had cancer you wouldn't say "10 year old cancerous child" A lot of people get that wrong (including major news networks). shinfo.

Yeah, you're right, sorry about that. Part of the wording (selfish as it is) was to make sure the autism was mentioned in the title when it shows up on the AP.net sidebar so people would know that detail when seeing the thread haha. Wasn't sure if it'd show up otherwise.

I can relate. I was bullied by a teacher. I'm not autistic, but I still had a bad experience.

Hope this teacher is never in a classroom again. That's one of the most destructive things you can do to a child.

The only reason I know that is my friend works for a family center where he helps develop social skills with children with autism. So this issue (the 10 year old) kinda hits close to me. Really the only reason I mentioned it was because I saw a bunch headlines the last few days saying "autistic child" from networks such as MSNBC, Yahoo, and CNN.

It's frustrating. There's tons of potential teachers who could be giving these kids the help they need who can't get a job because of teachers like this.
