Not writing. He said in his last update regarding the setback he has endured that he is going to make the most of his downtime by writing another album.

He had throat surgery in 2011. Recovered, recorded the new album, then had a setback earlier this year. He can't tour on the album for a while, but he is taking this downtime to write the next record.

Nope. No touring- he said in the down time he'll write his next record, and make the best of his time.
