I hate it when band members come out and say stuff like this, most people dont have "fun" jobs, I really don't feel sorry for him in the slightest. He should have not taken for granted that he could make music for a living. If he really cared for the fans he would have stuck it out and made another record because lets face it being in a band can't be all that bad with the money and all that goes with it, it would be a much better job than most people have. In regards to his new solo stuff as well I dont think he will have a long career on those grounds, they should just get back together and realise they are in a position to do something most people darent even dream of.
What are you talking about? Sure, making music may be what he loves to do but why would you wish unhappiness upon anyone, especially a band you are a fan of, just so they can make one more album for you? I know bands make music for fans, but artists really make music for themselves. and "being in a band can't be all that bad with the money and all that goes with it"...I mean, TAI... had some good years, but toward the end I wouldn't say they were exactly a household name (or ever, really). Touring at that level can get you by but it doesn't generate some massive income that makes it worth it to "stick out" unhappiness. Touring can be a very rough life, and if you're not loving what you're doing you're probably not going to create great music anyway.
