Hopeless Records and Sub City are excited to announce the vinyl re-issue of Thrice's The Illusion Of Safety. Originally released in 2002, this past February marked the records 10 year anniversary of its release. Fans will be able to choose between a standard and deluxe one time re-pressing. The limited quantity deluxe pressing allows fans to choose between 3 colors; coke bottle clear, white or translucent red and will be pressed on 180 gram vinyl. This deluxe version will also include a download card of the album. The first 500 sold will contain inserts signed by the band. A standard version will also be available in stores and online on June 19th. A portion of the proceeds (equaling 5% of the suggested retail price) earned by the artists and Hopeless/Sub City Records from the sale of this release will be donated to the non-profit organization A Place Called Home.
Hahahaha, I was just looking at the hopeless store earlier when I was making a bookmark directory of vinyl stores and I noticed it, thinking that I didn't remember it being repressed.
Thrice, between this, Artist, Vheissu, and Please Come Home, you're freakin' destroying my wallet. Just ordered 2 7"s and a t-shirt last night, too, thinking another Thrice reissue wouldn't appear until this summer. Dang it all.
Will be trying for the Limited Deluxe. Love that album. Coke Bottle 180 gram just sounds too awesome. Kinda bummed my Artist reissue skips so bad and that its sold out so Hot Topic can't do anything. Heard a few other issues with other people's copies too. Hopefully Hopeless handles this better.
