it's Shelby Cinca (Frodus frontman) and some Frodus guitarist with Joe Lally (Fugazi bass), so yeah you would definitely like it. if i'm not mistaken there's some strong political concepts in the record that makes the whole thing sound pretty paranoid, but i don't usually pay attention to them

the best album i've heard all year. i only just recently got into these guys (miniature tigers) and all of their work is amazing. this album is great. definitely a daily listen for me.

Running Water by Half Hearted Hero

A friend of mine from school knows one of the guitar players and recommended this to me. It's a very solid EP that clocks in at around 25 minutes so it doesn't really leave you feeling short changed. Catchy and technical guitar riffs over fast punk beats with good vocals. Highly recommended for fans of pop-punk.

Balance and Composure - Separation

Still one of my favorite albums from last year, even if the production is weak. The song writing and lyrics more than make up for it. Really excited to see what these guys do next.

Just got this in the mail today. One of those albums that just passed me by for whatever reason. I bought SCIENCE when I was a kid because I saw their name in the liner notes for something else and it became one of my favorite albums ever. Loved Make Yourself. Then when this came out I listened to it once or twice and never again. Last year, I fell in love with their new album, so then I went back and have been buying all of their other albums I missed. This was the last one I needed to get. Great band/album.

I'm glad this thread seems to be taking off. Pretty much everyone had replied properly and it hasn't got sidetracked with pointless arguing yet. I'm sure that'll happen eventually, but for the moment, it's all going great.

Great album, was a huge surprise for me.
I still listen to "Spanish Sahara" all the time

Can never really get into Foals bar the odd tracks. That album was much better than their debut, which I only liked a couple tracks from, and "Spanish Sahara" is definitely the stand out on Total Life Forever, but then it has tracks like "Miami" and "This Orient" which make we wish that an older sound like "Hummer" or "Balloons" took their place.

Iron & Wine - Our Endless Numbered Days

All of Iron & Wine's stuff is really relaxing and helps me get tired enough to fall asleep. I was just listening to it around 5pm when I was trying to take a short nap to reenergize.

Dreamchasers2 was real solid after one listen, thought the close was really strong and the beginning had a couple of growers. Good sign if this is the shit he left off for his album. Should be perfect to play loudly in a car all summer.

Joyce Manor - Of All Things I Will Soon Grow Tired.

Been spinning this one since its release. Great pop-punk elements with surprisingly more pop. The "Video Killed the Radio Star" cover is a genius skate punk re-working, and the acoustic tracks add a nice touch.
