Tony Lucca's "99 Problems" Cover Inspires...

Posted by: Thomas Nassiff (05/08/12)
Tony Lucca performed a great cover of "99 Problems" on NBC's "The Voice" last night, which you can watch in the replies. After the song ends, Christina Aguilera points out the possible derogatory meaning behind it, which Adam Levine then attempts to clear up, saying the song is a metaphor for what life throws at you. A simple Google News search reveals that many blogs, websites and newspapers are debating the issue as well - leave your thoughts in the replies.

Absolutely ridiculous. Want to know why he covered the song? It was a huge, huge hit.
Want to know who made it a hit? All of the Americans who listened to it when Jay-Z released it.

I think it's hugely uncalled for to criticize Tony Lucca for the song when Jay-Z didn't hear even a squeak upon the original release.

Were you as offended when they performed "Pumped Up Kicks," a song that glorifies youth violence?

It's silly to criticize a cover artist for someone else's lyrics.
