The album doesn't "suck". It's just hard for a lot of people to relate to. Which causes a major disconnect from an art standpoint.

i dunno... i'm not even really meaning the lyrics. i just mean the songs overall. there's just nothing on the album that really sticks out. so i guess it doesn't SUCK, but it's definitely something i will intentionally never feel like listening to again.

This sums up how I feel about it. The album did some what grow on me but the only songs that I really loved and consider memorable to me are Burn A Miracle, Night Song and The Stephen Hawking. All the other songs range from Okay to meh.

Maybe he'll answer why he decided to not record distortion and have all the guitars sound like acoustics/barely audible while vocals and drums are absurdly loud. I finally listened to it the other day and I think it's full of great songs that are butchered by horrible production, specifically tracks 1-3. They should be driving rockers, but instead, they sound like unfinished songs or demos. It's weird that he wanted to make songs that could be exciting sound like background music.

Him saying this is the best SA record is a sign is really disconnected from reality. And he looks a little bit dumb and a poser in this interview. Trying to pass the record for something it isn't.
And I liked the album, but it isn't nothing special. At all.
