they're not well known around here at all. well, not their band. they had a tv show, but i don't know what happened to that. the blonde dude is actually pretty well known. nicknames himself "Supla". check out his video for "Green Hair", it's hilarious! could be the lowest budget music video i've ever seen.

i don't know shit about the other guy. i think he's younger, but they're both pretty old to begin with (around their 40's i think).

they're both sons of an also very well known senator, Eduardo Suplicy, who's heading for his fifth straight mandate - around 30 years.

don't know how the fuck they got a deal with S1D. i can't stand Supla's voice and didn't think their music would ever be taken seriously.

hi there! right now we have the Adele hurricane taking over the radio and tv drama soundtracks (as in most countries). you step into the supermarket, you hear one of her songs on the speakers. it's unavoidable.

as for national music, have you heard of "ai se eu te pego"? if you haven't, you will. that's the kind of stuff dominating the stations around here. it's pretty depressing: same chords, same tempos, same lyrics (usually the "i'm over you, i'll go party with my friends while you regret letting me go" thing and stuff), same looks.

that's why i don't listen to radio anymore. it's getting worse by the minute, just like up there.
