The man is unstoppable. He has barely had any promotion, but still sells over 200,000 copies. I can see this album being an album that gets bigger as it goes too. He is probably the defining singer-songwriter of this generation

Very deserved, album of the summer, not a nicer man for it to happen to either.

Wow. That's pretty impressive for an album I don't think has a big single now, let alone any performances by Mayer.

I dunno what you consider promotion, but I saw a commercial to buy his album at Best Buy every commercial break on ESPN for most of last week. I haven't seen commercials for albums in months, if not years, until last week.

That said, I still need to give this a listen

I mean more in the way of touring and radio success. Not being able to play the songs live has to hurt sales in some ways. And I've heard Shadow Days maybe twice since it's been released to radio, and I haven't really heard anyone talking about that song.

Ah I see. I know he had that vocal deal or whatever not too far back. Was this album recored before then? And when will he be able to tour again? Going to one of his concerts has been a goal of mine for several years
