I like it. The comparrisons to times like these are stupid. Go make a radio friendly single with a simple chord structure and apparently you are ripping off the foo fighters.
It's the lead guitar that sounds like Times Like These. It's pretty close, but I wouldn't say they purposefully ripped them off.

Ignition and half of Splinter were really good. Everything else, not so much.

Hmmm. This song was rather slow and boring. Not to mention that, but the band members even looked bored, hah. I will always love The Offspring though. Hopefully the rest of their songs will have a little more aggression in them.

There really isn't any denying that they're trying to sound like the Foo Fighters on this song. That lead riff is almost exactly something Shiflett would have written. Just a very meh song. Stick to fast songs and whoa-oh's Dexter. Still gonna check out the rest of the album. Splinter and whatever that last album was called (coincidentally, the title of which was ALSO similar to that FF album that was out at the time lol)were mostly good.

Smash & Americana?!?!?

I've never been a fan of anything on Smash for some reason. I believe Americana had its moments, though. "Have You Ever" and "Pay the Man" are damn good tracks.

Disappointingly, not a cover of the Family Matters theme song.

I'll always have time for the Offspring because they were one of the bands that got me into punk rock with Smash in 94. I still enjoy this song even if it is kinda generic.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned Ixnay on The Hombre when recalling older albums. Smash is one of my fave punk rock albums of all time. IMO Ixnay was a very worthy follow up.
