This song has grown on me so much since I initially heard it. The bridge all the way through the end of the song gets me so pumped. I'm glad to see them performing something other than We Are Young for TV performance.
As much as i enjoy this band and how talented they are, Ill never understand their marketing. They played "We are young" to death so many times on every appearance (Including the MTV move awards, they should have done "Some Nights"). Then they release a video for the next single, "Some Nights" and then they play this song on live tv... I Just don't get it.
Some Nights is over 5 minutes. They were probably allotted 4 minutes or less, and they probably didn't want to showcase We Are Young again. So, they went with a song that fits the time allotment, and is a likely next single.
Also, they performed We Are Young right after, and that should be a part of this thread:
Dude rocks band of outsiders clothing religiously.
Based on this performance and the appearance at the MTV Movie Awards, looks like the band is being outfitted by Thom Browne and the exaggerated "highwaters" are a signature of his. Band of Outsiders didn't wish to suit them (for the Movie Awards, at least). The suits in the "Some Nights (Intro)" video are Band of Outsiders, though. Similar esthetics between the two designers in terms of cuts.
