The reason why this is wrong is because there is no incentive for any company to change the way we buy tickets. Ticketmaster doesn't care that half of their tickets get scalped. They care that the concert sold out in 30 seconds. Same goes with bands, they get money for every ticket sold not every person that shows up. So if a scalper gets stuck with 30 unsold tickets, the band still gets paid.

It's a bummer, but its just how it is.

Finally loaded after 6-9 min. My guess is that ticket prices will become more dynamic (like airline tickets) and more will be done to curb scalpers, whether that's photo tickets or something else.
