If you haven't picked up Japandroids new album Celebration Rock yet -- I highly recommend you check it out. It's streaming in the replies, and on Rdio and Spotify. I know Blake already reviewed it, but I need to call more attention to this gem. One helluva great album ... exactly the perfect blend of punk and sing-a-long choruses. Exactly what I need right now. Don't miss "Fire's Highway" or "The House that Heaven Built" -- but the album works best as a whole, and it works best turned up very, very loud.
It's still blowing my mind that AP is covering this so thoroughly. Great, great job. Congrats on a worthwhile Wednesday spotlight and a band that more people on this site should pay attention to.
Don't miss these dudes live!
(If you dig this album do yourself a favor and check out The Men's "Open Your Heart")
I second this statement. Like Fang Island in the way that you can give high fives to it, and a similar raw/energetic vibe I got from some moments on Cloud Nothings 'Attack on Memory'.
