I'm a sucker for Discovering The Waterfront, but Rescue is personally my favorite record from them. Like Senses Fail, they outlived the emo/post hardcore wave of the first years of the previous decade and evolved in a more mature band. WBIEF and DTW will always be classic of our "scene", for sure.
Déja vu? Not a bad song, but it seems to me, that they're doing the same thing over and over again... Haven't got into anything that came after Shipwreck.

And yet if they switched gears again (like they did on A&D for example), everyone would be clamoring for another DTW. Guess you can't please everyone.
I really want to like this band still but unfortunately they have not progressed musically at all since dtw, I really don't understand how they're still able to tour and sustain a stable fan base, it literally sounds like they're using the same guitars with the same tone, and just different lyrics, with that said when one of their songs from the first 2 records comes up on shuffle, I'm not mad
