Riot Fest Announces Brooklyn, Toronto and Dallas Dates

Posted by - 10:03 AM on 06/12/12
Riot Fest has expanded its festival to a Sept. 8 date in Brooklyn, a Sept. 9 date in Toronto, and a Sept. 22 date in Dallas. The posters for each of the festivals - spoiler alert: they all feature the Descendents and other awesome bands - are in the replies. Tickets will be available on Ticketmaster. Is Riot Fest making a name for itself as the best festival in America?

good shows never come here, so i'm super fucking stoked about this being in Dallas. the metal/hardcore openers are bogus, but these headliners are all top notch.

This is such great news! I was going to Chicago for this, and just saved hundreds of dollars. See you then, Dallas.

I seriously just bought tickets to the Rise Against/NOFX/Hot Water Music show in Corpus Christi the day before the Dallas date. Had I known this lineup would be present I would've held off.

Dallas date looks awesome, except I want to steal Hot Water Music and the Menzingers and bring them too. :)

Even though some of these are only 1 day and have less than a dozen bands, it feels like they're overextending.

I hope that going from 1 city to all of a sudden 5 cities doesn't come back to bite them.

Are you really comparing the two lineups?

Are you really asking me why I'm not flying across the country to see a bunch of bands I want to see that are playing a few hours away? I didn't compare the lineups at all.

I still think Warped's lineup is better this year than the Chicago riot Fest but I look forward to seeing where RF goes from here.

Bamboozle, on the other hand, looks only to get worse and worse now than Live Nation will be running it.

That Toronto line-up is really good. Just another reason for me to move out east I guess.
