He didn't start the band but yes he is a part of this now.

I say the announcement is the release of their music video and announcement of signing and/or tour.

If they get signed, I have a feeling they could take the scene by storm. Seriously such talented dudes.

EP of the year! Those 5 songs are the best thing for this "scene" in years. Miss The Sleeping, but this band totally makes up for it. So pissed I am going to miss this show because of my buddy's bachelor party. Hope the announcement is about a tour or new material, but pretty sure it will be the music video.
